How retailer links work
Retailer buttons are generated from catalog provider configuration. Some providers may include affiliate tracking, and some may be ordinary retailer links.
Affiliate links help pay for source research, hosting, and catalog maintenance. They do not change recommendation counts, person rankings, source labels, or whether a book appears.
Editorial independence
A book appears as recommended only when we have documented source evidence. A book by a person, about a person, or included for context is labeled separately.
We do not sell recommendation placement, and we do not turn weak source claims into recommendations because a retailer link exists.
Provider changes
Retailer availability, prices, and affiliate programs can change. We may add, remove, disable, or reorder providers without changing the underlying catalog record.
